Local-first privacy policy

BillLock Privacy Policy

BillLock helps you track bills, subscriptions, free trials, upcoming charges, payment methods, categories, and reminders. This policy explains what information is handled by the app and how it is used.

App: BillLock Developer: LTeam Effective date: May 24, 2026 Contact: lteamrick3@gmail.com

Your bill list stays local

Bill names, subscription details, trial dates, amounts, payment methods, notes, and reminder choices are stored on your Android device unless you choose to share information outside the app.

Google services are used

BillLock uses Google services for ads, ad consent, analytics, crash reports, Play Services, and Google Play Billing. These services may process device, usage, ad, diagnostic, and purchase data under their own policies.

No BillLock account is required

BillLock does not require a BillLock account and does not operate its own cloud sync service for your bills, subscriptions, trials, or notes.

1. Information You Provide or Create

When you use BillLock, you may create or enter information such as:

  • Bill, subscription, or trial names; item type; amount; currency; billing cycle; category; status; and payment method.
  • Next charge dates, trial end dates, last paid dates, reminder timing, and notes that you add to an item.
  • App preferences such as theme, onboarding state, Pro access state, free-limit counters, rewarded-ad credits, and ad-removal state.

BillLock stores this user-created bill and subscription information in the app's local storage on your Android device. LTeam does not automatically upload your bill list, payment method labels, notes, trial dates, or subscription details to LTeam servers.

2. Local Storage, Backup, and Device Transfer

BillLock is designed as a local-first app. Your main bill records and preferences are stored locally using Android app storage and a local database.

The app currently allows Android backup and uses Android data extraction rules. Depending on your Android version, Google account, device manufacturer, and device settings, Android or Google backup and device-transfer systems may back up or transfer app data. LTeam does not control those platform backup systems.

If you share bill information through screenshots, support emails, Android sharing, backups, or other apps, the receiving app or service handles that information under its own privacy policy.

3. Information Collected Automatically

BillLock uses Firebase Analytics to understand broad app usage and improve the app. Analytics events may include screen views, tab views, paywall views, paywall actions, ad lifecycle events, rewarded-ad events, feature gate views, free-limit events, item-saved events, checkout events, purchase events, and Pro plan state.

BillLock is designed to avoid sending the exact bill names, notes, payment method labels, next charge dates, trial end dates, or full local bill history that you enter. Some analytics values may include general states, item type, active item count after saving, ad placement, product identifier, plan label, reward quantity, and ad value information reported by Google Mobile Ads.

Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash reports and diagnostics such as crash traces, app version, device model, operating system version, timestamps, installation identifiers, and other technical information needed to diagnose app errors.

4. Advertising, Consent, and Purchases

BillLock is an ad-supported app and may show app open ads, banner ads, native ads, or rewarded ads through Google AdMob. AdMob and related Google services may collect or receive information such as IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, device information, advertising identifiers, app interactions, ad interactions, diagnostics, and fraud-prevention signals to provide ads, measure performance, prevent abuse, and comply with legal requirements.

BillLock uses Google's User Messaging Platform where required to request and manage ad privacy choices. Depending on your region and settings, you may be able to choose whether ads are personalized. BillLock may also provide a privacy options entry point for managing ad consent choices when available.

BillLock may offer Pro subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. LTeam and BillLock receive purchase status, product identifiers, plan identifiers, purchase tokens, and entitlement state needed to unlock, acknowledge, and restore Pro access, but do not receive your full payment card details.

You can manage ad personalization and advertising ID settings through your Android device settings and Google's ad settings.

5. Permissions and Device Features

BillLock may use the following Android permissions or system features:

  • Internet and network state: used for ads, analytics, crash reporting, consent management, Play Billing, and related Google services.
  • Notifications: used to send local reminders for upcoming bills, subscriptions, and trial end dates if you enable reminders and grant notification permission.
  • Run after boot: used to reschedule local reminders after your device restarts.
  • Email app discovery: used only to help open support email flows through Android when you choose to contact support.

BillLock does not request camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, SMS, call log, calendar, or account access.

6. Third-Party Services

BillLock may use the following third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms:

7. How Information Is Used

Information handled by BillLock is used to:

  • Provide bill tracking, subscription tracking, free-trial tracking, upcoming charge summaries, categories, payment method labels, notes, status, and local reminders.
  • Show and measure ads, manage ad consent, and support rewarded-ad unlocks or credits.
  • Process Pro subscriptions, unlock premium features, remove ads for active Pro users, and restore purchases.
  • Understand app usage patterns and improve reliability, usability, performance, and feature quality.
  • Detect, diagnose, and fix crashes or technical issues.
  • Respond to support requests when you choose to contact LTeam.

8. Sharing and Disclosure

LTeam does not sell your bill records, subscription details, trial details, payment method labels, or notes. Information may be shared or processed in these cases:

  • With third-party service providers listed in this policy, as needed to provide ads, analytics, crash reporting, billing, consent management, and related app functionality.
  • With Android, Google backup, or device-transfer services when enabled by your device and account settings.
  • With external apps or services when you intentionally share information, contact support, send screenshots, export data through system flows, or otherwise move information outside BillLock.
  • When required to comply with law, enforce policies, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect rights, safety, and security.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

Bill and subscription information stored locally remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, clear app data, uninstall the app, restore or transfer app data, or otherwise remove it through Android or BillLock features.

Data included in Android backups or device transfers is retained according to Android, Google, manufacturer, and account settings. You can manage backup behavior through your device and Google account settings.

Analytics, crash, ads, consent, and billing data processed by Google services are retained according to those providers' policies and your account/device settings.

Because BillLock does not require a BillLock account, there is no BillLock account to delete. You can delete local BillLock data by deleting items in the app where available, clearing app data in Android settings, or uninstalling the app.

10. Security

BillLock uses Android app storage, Android permission controls, a local database, notification scheduling, and platform billing/ads SDKs to support app functionality. Data sent to Google services by their SDKs is transmitted using secure transport where provided by those services. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, lock screen, Google account, backups, screenshots, and any external storage or service you choose to use.

11. Children's Privacy

BillLock is not directed to children under 13. LTeam does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through BillLock, contact LTeam so appropriate action can be taken.

12. International Use

Third-party services used by BillLock may process information on servers located in different countries. By using BillLock, you understand that technical, analytics, advertising, crash, consent, and billing data may be processed outside your country of residence according to the applicable third-party policies.

13. Changes to This Policy

LTeam may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of BillLock after a policy update means you accept the updated policy.
