Local-first privacy policy

TrueMargin Privacy Policy

TrueMargin helps you calculate profit, margin, ROI, break-even revenue, and track saved jobs, costs, reports, and premium status on your Android device. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

App: TrueMargin Developer: LTeam Effective date: June 30, 2026 Contact: lteamrick3@gmail.com

Your job data stays local

Saved jobs, job line items, notes, currency settings, and most app preferences are stored locally on your Android device. TrueMargin does not require an LTeam account or its own cloud sync service.

Google services are used

TrueMargin uses Google services for ads, analytics, crash reporting, and Google Play subscription billing. These services may process device, usage, ad, diagnostic, and purchase-related information under their own policies.

Reports are generated on-device

Profit reports and print previews are generated locally in the app from your saved data. TrueMargin does not operate a remote reporting server for your job content.

1. Information You Provide or Create

When you use TrueMargin, you may create or enter information such as job names, client names, job type, status, notes, revenue values, cost values, percentage-based costs, target margins, and saved job line items.

This information is stored in the app's local storage on your Android device using a local database and local preferences. LTeam does not automatically upload your job records, notes, revenue inputs, cost inputs, or saved report content to LTeam servers.

2. Local Storage and Preferences

TrueMargin stores saved jobs and job line items in a local Room database on your device. The app also stores local preferences such as your chosen currency, premium state, and related app settings in Android shared preferences.

TrueMargin is designed as a local-first tool. It does not require sign-in and does not maintain an LTeam-hosted account for syncing your job data.

3. Backup and Device Transfer

TrueMargin currently allows Android backup and includes standard Android backup and data extraction configuration files. Depending on your Android version, Google account, device manufacturer, and backup settings, Android or Google device backup and transfer features may back up or restore app data.

LTeam does not directly control Android backup, Google backup, or manufacturer device-transfer systems. If app data is backed up or transferred through those platform features, that processing is handled by Android, Google, or the device vendor under their own terms and settings.

4. Reports, Printing, and Sharing

TrueMargin can generate on-device profit report previews from your saved jobs and display them in the app for printing or saving through Android print flows. Report content is built locally from your device data.

If you print, save to PDF, share a file, take screenshots, or send report content to another app or service, that external destination handles the information under its own privacy policy. LTeam does not operate a remote PDF export or storage server for TrueMargin reports.

5. Information Collected Automatically

TrueMargin uses Firebase Analytics to understand general app usage and improve the product. Analytics may include screen views, feature interactions, app version, device model, approximate region, timestamps, installation identifiers, and similar usage information provided through Google services.

TrueMargin also uses Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and improve reliability. Crash reports may include stack traces, app version, operating system version, device model, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and related technical data.

These services are not intended to receive the full job records, notes, revenue entries, or report contents you create in TrueMargin.

6. Advertising and Purchases

TrueMargin may display ads through Google AdMob, including banner ads, native ads, and app open ads. Google and its partners may process information such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, device details, app interactions, ad interactions, and fraud-prevention signals in order to provide and measure ads and comply with legal requirements.

TrueMargin also offers premium subscriptions through Google Play Billing. Google Play processes purchase transactions and subscription management. LTeam receives subscription status and entitlement information needed to unlock premium features and remove ads while an eligible subscription is active, but LTeam does not receive your full payment card details.

You can manage ad personalization and advertising-related settings through your Android device and Google settings where available.

7. Permissions and Device Features

TrueMargin may rely on the following Android permissions or system capabilities through the app itself or integrated SDKs:

  • Internet and network access: may be used by Google services for ads, analytics, crash reporting, billing, and related functionality.
  • Local app storage: used to save jobs, cost rows, notes, settings, and generated report content on your device.
  • Android print and share flows: used when you choose to print or export report content through system-managed actions.

TrueMargin does not request camera, microphone, contacts, SMS, call log, or precise location access in its current main app manifest.

8. Third-Party Services

TrueMargin may use the following third-party services, whose handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms:

9. How Information Is Used

  • Provide profit calculation, job saving, cost tracking, currency selection, report preview, and premium feature access.
  • Generate on-device report previews and support Android print or export flows that you trigger.
  • Show and measure ads in the free version of the app.
  • Verify premium purchases, restore subscriptions, unlock premium features, and remove ads while a qualifying subscription is active.
  • Understand app usage, diagnose crashes, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.

10. Sharing and Disclosure

LTeam does not sell your saved jobs, notes, report content, or cost data. Information may be processed by the third-party providers listed above as needed to deliver their services, when you intentionally share or print content through other apps or Android system flows, when app data is backed up or transferred through platform features, or when required by law or necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.

11. Data Retention and Deletion

Saved jobs, notes, settings, and locally generated report content remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear the app's data, uninstall the app, or restore another copy through Android or device-transfer systems.

Data processed by Google services such as AdMob, Firebase, and Google Play Billing is retained according to Google's policies and your device or account settings.

12. Security

TrueMargin uses Android app storage, local database storage, platform settings, and trusted third-party Google SDKs to support its functionality. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your device, lock screen, Google account, backups, and any files or reports you choose to share outside the app.

13. Children's Privacy

TrueMargin is not directed to children under 13. LTeam does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this app. If you believe a child has provided personal information through TrueMargin, contact LTeam so appropriate action can be taken.

14. International Processing

Third-party services used by TrueMargin may process analytics, ads, crash, technical, or billing-related information on servers located in different countries according to their own applicable policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

LTeam may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
